Day by day

Arrive Istanbul
Transfer to a hotel in Sultanahmet or Beyoğlu. Evening walk to the Hippodrome and along the tram line.

Old City
Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern and Topkapi Palace, ending in the Grand Bazaar.

Bosphorus and the bazaars
The Spice Bazaar and the Süleymaniye Mosque, then a Bosphorus cruise past the palaces and the fortresses. Afternoon free in Karaköy or Kadıköy.

Istanbul → Cappadocia
Morning flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir; transfer to a cave hotel in Göreme or Uçhisar. Sunset at a panoramic viewpoint.

Cappadocia — balloon and valleys
A pre-dawn hot-air balloon flight over the valleys. Later, the Göreme Open-Air Museum, the Devrent and Pasabag fairy chimneys, and a pottery workshop in Avanos.

Cappadocia — south loop
The Kaymaklı or Derinkuyu underground city, the Ihlara valley walk and the Selime monastery. Evening at leisure.

Depart
Transfer to Kayseri / Nevşehir airport for the flight home (via Istanbul).
