Arrive Kathmandu
Transfer to Thamel. Evening at the Boudhanath Stupa as the butter lamps are lit and pilgrims circle the dome.

Kathmandu Valley
Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square, and the perfectly preserved medieval city of Bhaktapur.

Kathmandu → Chitwan
Scenic drive (or short flight) to the Terai lowlands. Afternoon Tharu village walk and a cultural stick-dance evening at your jungle lodge.

Chitwan safaris
A full day in the national park — a jeep safari for one-horned rhino and deer, a dugout-canoe float for gharial and birds, and the elephant breeding centre.

Chitwan → Pokhara
Drive west along the river to Pokhara. Evening boat on Phewa Lake and a walk along the lakeside strip.

Pokhara
A pre-dawn drive to Sarangkot for sunrise on the Annapurna range and Machapuchare, then the Davis Falls, the Gupteshwor cave and the World Peace Pagoda. Optional paragliding.

Pokhara → Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu (25 min). Afternoon free for Patan Durbar Square and last-minute shopping in Thamel.

Depart
Transfer to Tribhuvan airport.
